The address
1319 Japonica Street, in the Bywater. The French Quarter is 10 minutes by car, Frenchmen Street is 8, and the airport is 25. Bacchanal (14 min), Vaughan's (13 min), and BJ's (11 min) are walking distance.
Check-in
Check-in is 4 PM. If the calendar allows, checking in at 1 PM is free. Earlier than that has a fee that depends on the day. We email you two days before arrival with the options. Reception (the small building with the CastleDay logo) buzzes you in; it is staffed 24/7 for extra supplies or lockout help. You can leave bags in the office for free, any time before check-in or after checkout.
Parking
Five cars per villa: two gated on the grounds, three across the street, plus unlimited free on-street parking nearby.
The pool & quiet hours
The heated pool and hot tub are private and open around the clock; there are no posted hours. No glass in the pool area. Quiet hours outside are 10 PM to 8 AM. Inside, any volume.
The kitchen
2 refrigerators, 2 dishwashers, 3 ovens, and a dining table that seats 18.
Privacy & security
There are exterior cameras only, never indoors, and noise monitors that measure sound levels only; the details are on the terms page. CastleDay is licensed as a hotel, and one license (Permit No. 24-XSTR-24029) covers all three villas.
