What’s different about CastleDay?
Second thoughts about a group house usually come from one of three places: the pool turns out to be shared, the “sleeps 20” turns out to mean couches, or the bill keeps growing every time someone new joins the group chat. Each CastleDay villa answers all three on paper, before a dollar moves: a private heated pool, hot tub, courtyard and turf games lawn used by your crew and nobody else; 12 bedrooms and 17 beds, mapped room by room on the Bed Map; and a price that is the nightly rate plus one cleaning fee, plus occupancy taxes, with no per-guest fees. It is a licensed hotel that feels like a house (city permit 24-XSTR-24029), ten minutes from the French Quarter on a quiet Bywater block.
The weekend mostly runs itself. The pool holds the day: floats out, playlist on, the grill going. Golden hour turns into glam hour, with mirrors in every room and natural light all day. At night the ride to Frenchmen or Bourbon takes about ten minutes, and the hot tub waits up. The vendors you book come to you (hair and makeup, a bartender for the daiquiri station, decorators, hibachi in the courtyard), and a brass band books straight through us and turns the courtyard into a second line.

- Send the link to the crew. The hold link carries the price and the dates; the Bed Map on the villa page settles who sleeps where.
- Decide together. Book the held villa at the held price, or let the hold lapse on its own. Nothing to undo either way.

We already booked somewhere else. Is it too late to even look?
Usually not. Most Airbnb and Vrbo bookings refund in full until 30 or 60 days before check-in, and most hotel rates until a day or two out; your reservation page prints the exact date. Until then you are comparing, and the hold makes the comparison free: the dates sit under your name here for 72 hours while the group talks it over.
Does the 72-hour hold cost anything?
No. A name, an email and a phone number. The villa comes off the market on every channel under your name for 72 hours, the price freezes, and the hold releases itself if you walk away. No card, nothing to cancel.
Is the held price really the price?
Yes. The nightly rate plus one cleaning fee, plus occupancy taxes, shown before you tell us your name; no per-guest fees, so adding friends adds no line items. If the live rate drops while you are holding, you pay the lower number.
Will we actually all fit?
That is the question every organizer asks first, and it is answered on paper: 12 bedrooms and 17 beds per villa, every one on the Bed Map on each villa page, room by room. Groups from about a dozen up to 30 take one villa; bigger lists take two or all three, up to 90 on one block. Free queen air mattresses are waiting if you ask ahead.
Is the pool really private?
Yes: each villa has its own heated pool, hot tub, courtyard and turf games lawn, used by your group and nobody else. Nobody’s lobby, nobody else’s pool.
Is CastleDay legal?
It is a licensed hotel that feels like a house: inspected, legal, operating on city permit 24-XSTR-24029, and run by a local team you can reach. Fair question to ask anyone in New Orleans before a deposit moves.
What is CastleDay’s own cancellation policy?
