Bacchanal is a 14 minute walk. It is a backyard wine garden with live jazz every night and no reservations. Anyone landing late can take a rideshare there straight from the airport.

The pool and hot tub are private and open around the clock. The pool lights are on the panel by the back door.

Pool floats book through us. Lunch at the villa is the outdoor kitchen and grill and the covered patio. If the group wants one outing, the French Quarter cocktail classes book out about two weeks ahead, and the tarot readers around Jackson Square take walk-ups.

N7, then Frenchmen Street
N7 is in the Bywater, behind an unmarked fence: a courtyard, French plates with a Japanese accent, and natural wine. Book it early. Frenchmen Street is eight minutes by car. The Maison has a free drag show upstairs at eight on weekend nights, and The Spotted Cat and d.b.a. are steps apart. Bring small bills for the tip jars.

Drag brunch at The Country Club
The Country Club is in the Bywater, a five minute ride or a 26 minute walk. Its drag brunch is the hardest table of the weekend: put the deposit down the day you book the villa, and bring cash to tip the performers.

The brass band books through us. A bartender, a daiquiri station, or hibachi are yours to book, and they come to the villa.

The French Quarter is ten minutes by car. Do the big dinner first (ask the team for restaurants that seat a large group). Then Fritzel's for jazz, the dueling pianos at Pat O'Brien's, karaoke at Cat's Meow, and a last round at Lafitte's.

Sam and Gigi took all three villas and gave each side of the family its own. Sixty-five guests slept on the block, the families hosted a 45-person dinner at The Cocodrie the night before, and the day after the ceremony The Florentine held a 150-person pool party with a brass band.

Karen and Danny put one side of the family, fourteen of them, in The Florentine. The family cooked a 34-person dinner the first night, everyone got ready there on the wedding day, and 150 guests came back Sunday for a poolside farewell brunch. No caterer, no rented furniture, no portapotties.

April 2025: Liz, Karen, and Jesse had milestone birthdays in the same stretch, so 20 friends took The Herald for the weekend. Every meal was cooked at the villa, afternoons were in the pool, and a party bus took them to the monster truck rally.
